Anthony Saxby, Information Platform Product Marketing Manager - Microsoft UK


Anthony is responsible for the Information and Data platform business for Microsoft UK. This role covers the product marketing and business management for Microsoft SQL Server, and Microsoft Biztalk Server. Anthony has been at Microsoft for 18 years and prior to his current role was Practice Manager for Microsoft's Architecture and Planning consulting team. Anthony has 25 years experience in the software and IT Services industry and has worked on large projects in Retail, Financial Services and Government, covering application areas ranging from B2C Commerce solutions in the Financial Services industry through to large scale Integration projects in the Government sector.

Kevin Long, Business Development Director - Teradata


Kevin is Business Development Director at Teradata, the world's leading analytic data solutions company. He has an unusual combination of business, financial and IT skills, which he puts to good use by advising how businesses can 'Do More With Their Data', through actionable insight that drives competitive advantage. Chris Roche

Chris Roche, Senior Technical Services Director, UK & Ireland - EMC Greenplum

Chris Roche was appointed to the role of Senior TS Director, UK and Ireland, in April 2010. In this position Chris is responsible for providing UK and Ireland customers with access to EMC's full portfolio of service capabilities as they engage in the next transformative event in IT - the virtualisation of the data centre, and the journey to Cloud computing.
During his 11-year tenure at EMC, Chris has held positions including UKI Director of Infrastructure Consulting, UKI Business Transformation Director, UKI Services Transformation Manager, and EMEA Consulting Manager for the EMC Information Solutions Consultancy. Most recently, Chris served as Country Manager for EMC in Ireland.

Gunter Richter

Günter Richter, Principal Consultant - IMGROUP

Günter is a Principal Consultant at Information Management Group and in his consulting career spanning 18 years he has delivered solutions to many organisations in the United Kingdom, Europe, and Africa.
Starting his career as a technical consultant in an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) consultancy, Günter assisted in building the company into one of the most successful Value Added Resellers, achieving the position of Partner and Software Development Director in 1999.
Making the transition from ERP to Business Intelligence he subsequently held the position of Business Productivity Advisor at the premier South African Microsoft Gold Partner, where he was responsible for launching the company's Corporate Performance Management division.
He then joined a new established Management Consultancy and was instrumental in building the consultancy from a complement of five to over 30 staff. After four years he resigned to pursue consulting opportunities in the United Kingdom, when he joined Information Management Group.

David Chan

David Chan, Director, Centre for Information Leadership - City University London

I have been a senior executive and a management consultant working across many sectors of industry including secondments to Central Government Departments. I have an eclectic career background covering several industry sectors including financial services, central and local government, media, new media and utilities. I have also delivered quantifiable business benefits through implementing strategies in several CIO (board-level IT Director) positions.
I have worked for several Blue-Chip organisations and I have experience of large and small organisations in both the public and private sector including start-ups.
I have been the honorary Fellow in Information Management at Bradford University where I was also the Chairman of the MBA Alumni for a number of years. I have also co-authored a number of articles and invented an information management framework for labelling digital content that was licensed to over 700 broadcasting organisations.

John Pomeroy

John Pomeroy, VP Europe - MarkLogic

John Pomeroy brings more than 20 years of sales experience to MarkLogic, with expertise in building the European presence of U.S. software companies.
John Pomeroy joined MarkLogic from the Sword Group, where he served in sales, senior marketing, channel alliances, and business development roles. He has worked with organizations ranging in size from small start-up teams to major international groups of several hundred. Prior to the Sword Group, Pomeroy held senior sales management positions at EMC, Documentum, Xerox, and Cimage.

Kurt Lane

Kurt Lane, Head of Digital - Domino Records

As head of digital for Domino Recording Co. Kurt oversees digital business development, strategic commercial partnerships, direct-to-consumer initiatives and digital operations. Domino, a leading independent music label for nearly 20 years, is home to such artists as Franz Ferdinand, Animal Collective, Arctic Monkeys, Four Tet, The Kills and Dirty Projectors.
Recent projects include the Domino Spotify app, which was launched in March 2012 as the first independent label app on the platform and Domino Radio, a week of originally programmed radio broadcast from 90.7FM in London and at http://dominorad.io, which was nominated for a BT Digital Music Award. Prior to joining Domino, Kurt managed enterprise-level software projects and strategic initiatives for Fortune 500 clients and the US Department of Defense.

Simon Briskman, Partner - Field Fisher Waterhouse LLP

Simon is ranked as one of the UK's leading IT, telecoms and outsourcing lawyers. He is a partner at Field Fisher Waterhouse LLP, one of Europe's leading technology law firms. They advise the tech sector and world leading organisations from Google and McAfee to Pearson and the UK government on a wide range of data privacy, data analytics and data security issues including building regulation proof products and working with the regulators.

hywel moore

Hywel Moore, Sales Engineering Manager - MicroStrategy

Hywel joined MicroStrategy in 2011 as a Sales Engineer for Scotland and the North of England. With over 20 years of experience in the business intelligence and CRM arenas, Hywel has worked for several technology vendors, including Seagate Software and Siebel Systems, leading numerous successful pre-sales engagements. Hywel has implemented a number of large scale BI, CRM and Data Warehousing projects using various technologies into financial services, retail and technology companies across the UK.
Having held senior IT and business roles in the financial services, technology and defence sectors, Hywel has a clear understanding of the technologies and most importantly the business benefits that can be gained from implementing them successfully. Hywel had overall responsibility for driving the BI and CRM strategies at National Australia Group Europe. He managed the BI development team and oversaw the roll-out of MicroStrategy at SAGE. He was also heavily involved as a BI Solutions Architect at Tesco Bank and as a CRM Solutions Architect at the Bank of Scotland Business Banking.

David Boyle, Senior VP of Consumer Insight/Director of Insight - EMI Music/zeebox

David is passionate about helping people make better decisions using data. He is SVP of consumer insight for the EMI Music Group where he setup and now oversees the team that delivers regular, large scale research to EMI in 25 countries. The insight from more than 750,000 interviews in the last couple of years has reached the heart of decision-making at EMI and helps - alongside skills and judgement - with everything from signing new artists to product development and marketing plans for EMI's biggest artists like The Beatles and Pink Floyd. He also runs insight at zeebox which is using rich consumer surveys and detailed user information to drive product development and product / relationship personalisation.
He has worked in London for New Philanthropy Capital on analysis of charity effectiveness, for L.E.K. Consulting in London and Boston on corporate strategy consulting, for Tesco helping their international businesses use data and evidence to optimise their operations and for DSG International. He has also worked in politics for the Labour Party in London and with Democrats in the US where he helped build data and analysis infrastructure that powered the 2008 election of President Obama. He studied Pure Maths in the UK at the University of Warwick.
